Raised in small town environments with a very keen love of nature, the wide open spaces and serenity derived from creation around us and drawing strength from the mountains above us, he has started out on a road of constant learning and development to ensure that the subject transfers his own emotion and love when viewed. Not having any formal art training, Richard has learnt by looking and finding an ability that holds promise of great works to come. With a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of conceptualising in three dimension and a very determined spirit, much will be attained in the future. The artists intent is to excel in wildlife but also undertake representations of life.
 
Having travelled to numerous adventure filled destinations, drawing from architecture, archaeology, lost civilizations, and exceptional works of ancient art as well as prominent sculptural museums of the great masters, much inspiration has been derived aiding in achieving the ideal.
 
The most important aspect of any piece done is that it carries the pride of the sculptor, the appreciation of the buyer and the knowledge that the future will ensure greater success through the acknowledgement of others.
