Yvette Polovin is a fine artist and ceramist with a B. Tech degree in Ceramic Design from the University of Johannesburg. She taught pottery and craft at Crawford College in Sandton and from her studio in Johannesburg for many years.

Her work has been shown at national ceramics exhibitions and has been awarded highly commended status. She has been commissioned to produce ceramic murals for private homes and public spaces including the Sports and Karate Centre in Melrose and the Old Mutual Theatre on the Square in Sandton. Working within the theme ‘Weaving and Lace’, Yvette exhibited a large body of ceramic work at the Gallery Upstairs at Bamboo in Melville.

Since taking up residence in Cape Town, Yvette has exhibited oil paintings, etchings and mosaics at AVA Gallery, These Four Walls, The Space and Rust-en-Vrede, as well as a large new body of work in oils and mosaics with ‘Lions Head Mountain’ as a theme at the Bay Hotel, Camps Bay.
