Momberg is a professional sculptor and a
part-time lecturer at the Port Elizabeth Techikon. He is well known for
his masterful portraits and excellence in cast resin. Momberg excels at
representing the vulnerability of the pubescent female form in all its various
guises. He has executed numerous restorations of public sculptures and architectural
reliefs. His work can be seen at the South African National Gallery in Cape
Town, at the Johannesburg Art Gallery and in other important collections.
In 1998 Momberg was made a fellow of the Amperstad Foundation, New York.
Qualification :
National High Diploma (Fine Art Teaching) Port Elizabeth Technikon.
Currently :
Sculptor of the human figure, portraits and animals.
Works mainly in polyester resin and bronze.
Teaching drawing and ceramic sculpture at the Port Elizabeth Technikon
Faculty of Art And Design.
