| A life long history of painting from school through to a working career with full time devotion to painting only since retiring 5 years ago. Craig received no formal art training and only recently started tuition in watercolours, having taken up this medium after working almost exclusively in oils. His works have sold in the U.S., U.K. and Europe, as well as sales in South Africa. Craig's oil paintings revolve around realistic wild life, old buildings, traditional shops and cows. Now the primary medium is water colours with a focus on urban landscapes. He is an avid sketcher. His sketch book is a constant companion. He held a solo exhibition at the Bamboo Room, Melville, Johannesburg in 2009. |
