Jenny enrolled at the Johannesburg College of Art intent on studying Fine Art, however when it became apparent that her only career option on qualifying would be teaching, and having left behind a school system hardly thrilled by her presence, she switched to Graphic Design.
A founder Partner of TBWA Hunt Lascaris, - one of South Africa's greatest advertising success stories, three times winner of International Advertising Agency of the Year Award, and Ad agency of the Century - she is accredited with over 150 local and International creative awards. Named one of South Africa's 20 most "influential Afrikaners" by De Kat magazine alongside Anton Rupert, F.W.de Klerk and Cheryl Carolus in 1996, she was also the first South African woman selected to judge at the prestigious Cannes Advertising Awards Festival.
When their agency was acquired internationally by OMNICOM, she used the financial opportunity to escape with her husband and two dogs to a small farm on the edge of the Karoo. Here, over the past 12 years she has returned to her first love...painting, with the same dedication she applied to advertising.
Her paintings can be found in Private collections and Boardrooms locally and internationally.
Most notably 4 of her landscapes hang in Tuyn Huis, the offices of the State President of South Africa.
