A pleasure to do and a joy to
behold. This is John Cullingworth's philosophy on what a painting
should be.
He trained as a graphic artist in Johannesburg and became a designer in
the Packaging Industry. Retired in 1992 to Knysna and now lives with his
wife Jean in Robertson.
The disappearing Cape Dutch architecture inspired him to record as much
as possible of this valuable heritage. He paints mainly in Water Colour
and now enjoys a wide range of subjects and is also conducting work classes
at his home.
John has exhibited in South Africa and overseas. His work can be found
in Australia, Brazil, Germany, the U.K, Canada and in the U.S.A.
