Rosie Sturgis was born in the Cape and has been interested in wild life since her first visit to the Kruger Park at the age of 9. She studied at the Cape Technical Art College and in London at Sir John Cass Art School. Rosie later travelled to Italy where she worked in a bronze foundry at Pietrasanta.
She has participated in Wildlife exhibitions at the Mall Gallery in London, Everard Read Gallery in Johannesburg and Cape Town, ‘Rhino Rescue’ auction at Sotheby’s in London, and held one man exhibitions at Klein Constantia winery.
Her commissions include
a work which was exhibited at the Discerning Eye at the Mall Galleries London, and a Bataleur Eagle for SA Wildlife College in 2000.
